We are truly blessed with mostly sunny,warm weather here in Southern Nevada. Many of Our Las Vegas visitors are unaware of the amazing beauty surrounding Las Vegas, while others use Las Vegas as their launching point to the Many Natural Wonders within a mornings drive from the Las Vegas strip. Just 45 minutes away is a wonderland of color in Valley of Fire State Park where red Aztec sandstone landscape blends with grey and light tan Limestone ,swirling together creating pink ,mauve and orange that appears to be on fire with the rising and setting sun . This Wonderland of pastel smooth rock formations and animal like shapes are breath taking.One of my favorite places here is Mouse’s Tank named after a renegade Paiute Indian who was accused of Killing a few prospectors during the 1890’s. Little Mouse would hide out in the canyon he knew well with a hidden,vital water source provided by a sandstone depression that held water for long periods of time after each rain. also Ancient Native Americans used the dark varnish on these Canyon walls to etch their history , passing on information for generations lasting thousands of years.
